Officially presenting a National Blockchain Strategy, Vietnam marks a turning point in its digital aspirations. The government wants to establish the nation as a leader in Asia-wide blockchain technology research, development, and application. The plan also aims to create testing facilities across big cities and develop 20 famous blockchain brands.

Vietnam’s National Blockchain Strategy Paves Way for Innovation by 2030

Recently approved by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, the plan emphasizes blockchain as a main Fourth Industrial Revolution technology. By improving data security and dependability, this project is predicted to be a major contributor to Vietnam’s digital architecture.

The National Blockchain Strategy recently announced by the Prime Minister is an important milestone in the blockchain area, reflecting the dedication and concrete efforts of the government, stated Phan Duc Trung, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VVA).

By 2030, Vietnam’s blockchain plans call for three blockchain testing facilities or special zones created to encourage national cooperation and innovation. The government also intends to get Vietnamese institutions among the top 10 blockchain research and training hubs across Asia.

Launched in order to help these objectives is a thorough Action Program for 2024–2030 comprising initiatives to build blockchain infrastructure and human resources development.

This national plan revolves mostly around the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VVA). The association will concentrate on boosting local businesses’ competitiveness, encouraging cooperation among “Made in Vietnam” blockchain systems, and so supporting their development.

Emphasizing the VVA’s responsibilities in guiding the blockchain sector, Trung said. “This is an honor, recognizing the VVA’s contributions in gathering opinions and contributions from the community.”

Important ministries, including the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Education and Training, are also included in the National Blockchain Strategy. These bodies will be in charge of making sure Vietnam satisfied its high targets.

Trung pointed out that the VVA is dedicated to advancing blockchain technology’s advantages, thereby stressing its possible influence on the national digital economy.

“We are committed to aggressively and proactively performing the assigned tasks to promote community development,” he said, adding that the approach aims to make blockchain technology accessible to all Vietnamese citizens.
