  • OCI will build solutions using VeChain’s ToolChain and develop customer-specific smart contracts.

As Object Computing Inc. announced in a press release, the St. Louis (USA) based company has entered a strategic partnership with the VeChain Foundation. As part of this partnership, Object Computing will work with VeChain to support worldwide supply chain initiatives as a “VeChain Global Solutions Provider”.

The Object Computing, Inc. (OCI) is a full service software engineering company dedicated to providing innovative solutions and support for the development of distributed object-oriented applications. Founded in 1993, the company currently supports Fortune 500 customers in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and defense. Last year, the company had revenues of $23 million and currently has 129 employees.

The goal of the collaboration is to bring together the supply chain expertise of Object Computing Inc. and VeChain’s. The St. Louis-based company will use VeChain’s Blockchain-as-a-Service platform, ToolChain, to achieve this goal. In the press release, OCI states:

OCI describes the vision of the cooperation as follows:

Object Computing and VeChain share a common vision with regard to supply chain operations. Together, the two companies expect to turbo charge industry adoption of blockchain-enabled supply chain solutions.

Ciju John, OCI’s senior software engineer, commented on the partnership via LinkedIn as follows:

Thanks, we love the VeChain Tech Toolchain platform API’s and are excited to start building next-gen supply-chain solutions.

Remarkably, Object Computing Inc. is not an unknown name in crypto space. As Hackernoon pointed out in an August 2018 report, the consulting firm may have developed most of the EOS Core protocol. In the first year of EOS development, three of the six core developers came from Object Computing Inc., according to GitHub.
