According to marketing lead for Shiba Inu (SHIB) Lucie, this significant upgrade would position the game to appeal to a wider audience and professionally rub shoulders with the heavyweights in the gaming industry.

Developed by PlaySide Studios, Shiba Eternity is the first free-to-play mobile game in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, teaming up with Shiba Inu Metaverse and SHIBOSHI NFTs to transform and expand the community. 

What to Expect From the Upgrade

Disclosing this on X, Lucie explained that the upgrade would lead to a massive evolution for the game by introducing new features such as ranked tournaments and blockchain-backed card battles. On top of that, its transition would turn the digital cards earned in games into a unique asset on Shibarium. According to Lucie, the assets would be tradable, adding an extra layer of collectibility and tradeability to the game.

With the addition of a systematic competition framework, players would be required to commence their gaming experience as White Belts to achieve the grandmaster status, all within 15 days. As strategically designed, each phase or cycle of the game has 14 divisions. It also follows the progression and ranking systems within the traditional competitive games, implying that players earn points for victory and lose points for defeats. 

On top of that, the upgrade would grant ownership rights to players over their digital assets, enabling them to trade, sell, or hold. 

More About the Shiba Eternity Mobile Game

Shiba Eternity features over 10,000 unique Shiboshis heroes possessing special abilities. They are designed to serve as a central figure in each player’s deck to determine the flow and strategy of gameplay. Also, the gameplay appears to be one of the most complex card games ever released as we mentioned in a 2022 report.
