  • The USSF has joined hands with Ethernity Chain to release series of NFTs.
  • The NFT is named after Neil Armstrong, the first person to land on the moon.

The Non-Fungible Token (NFT) industry has continued to hit new heights, from finding interest among creators of popular meme videos to celebrities who want absolute control over their work. In the recent report, NFTs have found interest among the United States Space Force (USSF), a branch of the US armed forces.

The USSF has joined hands with Ethernity Chain, a community-oriented non-fungible token platform to release a series of NFTs. The partnership is set to release versions of patches and coins created for the launch of its vehicle of the GPS Block III.

The NFT is named after Neil Armstrong, the first person to land on the moon. It will feature satellite’s launch vehicles, spacesuits, as well as other iconic images. It is titled “Armstrong Satellite NFT Launch with Space Force.”

The collectibles are being launched on two separate platforms. It began with the Star Atlas platform on June 14. This is three days before the Armstrong Satellite Launch. Ethernity Chain, which is the other platform, remains the first market to license, authenticate and support digital works on a large scale. This has helped create a long-term value for collectibles.

Ethernity Chain has disclosed that the NFT will be interactive augmented reality tokens. One of these will be 27 satellites orbiting the Earth in a 3D depiction. The bid for the satellite NFT will begin with $1. Collections containing between 25 and 100 pieces will go for between $100 to $1000.

Ethernity Chain to help commemorate technological and futuristic moments

The Ethernity Chain CEO Nick Rose has said that this is a historic opportunity for the NFT and the blockchain space to commemorate moments both technologically and futuristically.

We can now put this launch and Neil Armstrong’s historic achievements on the immutable ledger and memorialize and tokenize it on an NFT that the public can participate in.

Astrotech Space Operations Florida will commence the launch at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station with a 15 minutes launch window open. It will start at 4:09 pm UTC on Thursday.

In March 2021, the NFT craze swept into Beijing as curators opened one of the world’s first exhibitions dedicated to blockchain arts. Yitian Sun, a Chinese artist believes that blockchain will improve the ecosystem of the art world.
