  • TRON CEO, Justin Sun has teased the launch of a new payment infrastructure to support AI services.
  • The payment tool will draft BitTorrent and other Tron-based tools to enhance its functionalities.

Justin Sun, the billionaire founder of the Tron blockchain network has announced the introduction of a new payment system to support the fast-growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool ChatGPT. According to the announcement made via a Twitter thread, Sun said Tron will come in very handy in providing an AI-oriented decentralized payment framework for the AI systems.

Known for his related product launches, the Tron founder, Justin Sun went on to describe the new feature, affirming that the new protocol will cover smart contracts and payment layer systems. The pioneering tech developer said the new payment feature will prominently feature the Tron-backed decentralized file-sharing system, BitTorrent to offer an encompassing service.

The framework covers the smart contract system on the chain, the payment layer protocol, the underlying calling SDK, and the AI payment gateway. Using the smart contract system to store user questions and AI results on the decentralized #BitTorrent file storage system #BTFS,

He said in the announcement, adding that the new payment tool is being designed to be very secure.

As Justin Sun noted, the AI-based payment system is designed to permit the settlement of stable digital currencies in an easy way. The underlying as he pointed out is to make it easy for AI developers to embrace the new service. As he noted, the duo of TRX and BTT digital currencies will be prominently featured in the new tool to enable a complete decentralization of the offerings. The tweet reads.

The payment layer protocol provides support for stable currency settlement on the chain, and the interaction layer provides users with standard settlement and API for AI services. #TRX and #BTT will be deeply involved to achieve fully decentralized storage and DAO governance,

Tron and the Support for OpenAI

It remains unclear whether the new payment protocol was floated as a result of any private partnership between the Tron Foundation and ChatGPT’s parent company OpenAI. However, as an open-source project, the development and introduction of new products and services are welcome, making the launch of the payment tool by Tron a much-welcome initiative.

The advent of blockchain technology and the concept of decentralization was tagged as revolutionary. However, the emergence of ChatGPT as a conversational work assistant has earned a unique clamor over the past few months than some blockchain systems have earned in years.

Rather than replicate the advances put forth by OpenAI as embodied in ChatGPT, Tron is pioneering an avenue to connect to the AI protocol’s growing economy to add a unique value. Tron remains one of the most revered blockchain protocols in Web3.0 and with its broad community of users, it has the potential to help expand the ChatGPT embrace across the board.

The introduction of the payment tool for AI services from OpenAI will be a mutually beneficial association for both organizations. With the planned integration of oracle services from WinkLink and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) functionalities, Justin Sun is optimistic the product will mark the next frontier in AI-focused payment technology.
