  • Elon Musk’s recent mention of Shiba Inu on Twitter has led to widespread conjecture about possible SHIB integration.
  • Twitter’s newly appointed CEO, Linda Yaccarino, seems to hold interest in Shiba Inu, according to her Twitter followings.

Remember our report earlier this year, discussing the advantages Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) could reap from Elon Musk’s interest? The speculation continues, now stirred further by Musk’s recent tweet mentioning Shiba Inu. This tweet follows the footsteps of Twitter’s latest rebranding, trading its famous bird logo for an enigmatic letter ‘X’ cloaked in a dark theme.

A Playful Exchange on Twitter’s Branding

This conversation started when Jonah Katz, an engineer at Twitter, whimsically claimed his six-hour daily scrolling habit would persist even if Twitter morphed into a donkey. Musk retorted with a jesting comment, reminding that Twitter once embraced a Shiba Inu theme for a brief time, yet it had no notable effect. Notably, this reference was not about the SHIB cryptocurrency, but the breed of dog emblematic of both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu tokens.

Musk’s Influence and the Shiba Inu Community’s Expectations

Musk was probably alluding to the time when Twitter adorned its homepage with the Dogecoin mascot. A closer look at Musk’s Twitter activity shows that his latest Shiba Inu mention comes two years after his previous references to trending cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and FLOKI. This casual mention has been widely noticed by the crypto community, particularly by Shiba Inu enthusiasts. It drew nearly 100,000 more engagements than the initial tweet by Katz.

In this context, prominent Shiba Inu community figure Ragnar Shib recently requested Linda Yaccarino, the new CEO of Twitter, to integrate Shiba Inu into the platform, as reported by The Crypto Basic. Ragnar insisted that Shiba Inu boasts one of the most dynamic and sizable communities in the crypto sphere, ready to facilitate the integration of Shiba Inu with Twitter. Despite this, Musk remains a devoted supporter of Dogecoin.

Twitter’s New Leadership and a Glance at Shiba Inu

Yaccarino, the new CEO of Twitter, has shown interest in Shiba Inu, as evidenced by her Twitter followings. Earlier in May, The Crypto Basic confirmed she follows the official Twitter account of the Shiba Inu token, alongside other crypto initiatives.

The twitterverse was once again abuzz when Musk, in response to a user’s comment about the recent Twitter rebranding, mentioned Shiba Inu, leaving the door wide open for more speculation on the possibility of a Shiba Inu-themed platform connected to the blockchain.
