  • Shibarium, the L2 blockchain of Shiba Inu, hits impressive milestones, boasting 433,561 transactions and 101,382 wallets.
  • The development team announces key initiatives, including the rollout of Wrapped BONE (WBONE) token and plans for smart contract verification.

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, has just tweeted an electrifying update from Shibarium’s dynamic universe. The tweet highlights that Shibarium, after its successful relaunch, has numerous innovative plans up its sleeves, including the introduction of the Wrapped BONE token (WBONE).

Introduction of Wrapped BONE (WBONE)

According to information shared by Lucie, a marketing team member for Shiba Inu, WBONE is soon to make its debut. This new token is a wrapped version of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), which serves as Shibarium’s official gas token. Kusama assured the Shibarium community via their official Telegram channel that the development of WBONE is progressing smoothly. This came just hours after reports surfaced that Shiba Inu enthusiasts had pooled an impressive 19.82 million BONE tokens.

Smart Contract Verification is Around the Corner

In another exciting development, Kusama revealed that Shibarium is set to roll out its smart contract verification feature. The development comes after community members voiced the need for BONE’s contract to be renounced so that the token can be listed on prominent exchanges. In response, Kusama indicated that plans are in place to renounce the BONE contract, thereby making it impossible to mint new BONE tokens.

ShibaSwap’s Migration to Shibarium

Kusama also indicated that ShibaSwap, Shiba Inu’s decentralized exchange, will soon be migrated to Shibarium. This aligns with the team’s previous commitment to move all Shiba Inu-related products, including its NFTs (SHIBOSHIS) and metaverse (Shib: The Metaverse), to Shibarium following its mainnet launch. While acknowledging that Shibarium has a long developmental journey ahead, Kusama mentioned, “We will focus on building decentralized systems and showcasing Shibarium projects.”

Relaunch Success and Technical Challenges Overcome

Shibarium had gone into private mode for more than a week due to technical hiccups caused by heavy traffic. However, it bounced back into public use after collaborative efforts from Shiba Inu developers, Unification team, and Polygon developers. The team expressed their gratitude to Polygon for their valuable assistance in scaling Shibarium.

Growing Wallet Interactions and Transactions

At the time of reporting, Shibarium boasts a significant 101,382 interacting wallets and 433,561 transactions, surpassing earlier reported figures. The number of total blocks on the Shibarium mainnet has reached a staggering 337,132, with an average block duration of just 5.0 seconds.

So as Shibarium continues to break new ground with its innovative features and strong community backing, could this potentially trigger a price surge for SHIB to $0.000015? Only time will tell.
