•  Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, has confirmed that Shiba Eternity is launching its Closed Beta on the network.

In a recent post on X  Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu confirmed that Shiba Eternity is launching its Closed beta, the collectible card game, on the Shibarium network. 

Backtracking, Angel from the Shiba Eternity team confirmed via X that Closed Beta was planned to be released “this week.” She further stated that exclusive access was available for the most dedicated Shiba Inu community members. Whereas for the rest, in order “To gain access, players must stake LEASH tokens through Shibaswap. This requirement not only serves as an entry gate into the game but also reinforces community bonds among the “ShibArmy elite.”

While the game’s initial release is only accessible to LEASH holders and the selected “Zealous Shiba Inu community members,” the Shiba Inu team has outlined plans to expand the player base. This means players who own at least one Shiboshi, Sheboshi, or Shiba Eternity Lore NFT. It is worth noting that by linking gaming to NFT ownership, Shiba Inu has added substantial utility to its token, which will potentially drive up its value.

Lucie, diving deeper into the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s broader impact, asserted that “The more people play Shiba Eternity, the more transactions will happen on Shibarium, the more BONE will be used, the more SHIB will be burned, and the greater the demand for Shiboshis will rise. THIS IS CALLED AN ECOSYSTEM.” 

Introducing a Web 3 version of Shiba Eternity is a game changer. Players will have the opportunity to hold in-game assets, adding a twist to the gaming experience. It is worth highlighting that all transactions will be conducted using BONE. Also, as an earlier CNF report stated, the BONE token was to provide rewards to SHIB holders.

However, the objective was later shifted to facilitate SHIB burns using the Shibarium layer-2 solution. Therefore, this strategic setup aligns with the burning of SHIB tokens.

Focusing on Closed Beta’s future prospects, the game plans to incorporate ranked tournaments, strategic gameplay enhancements, and NFT minting opportunities to better the player’s gaming experience. 

Having noted that LEASH token holders get first dibs, LEASH, with its limited supply of 107 565 tokens, plays a pivotal role. According to Lucie,” There will be other Dapps. There will be a metaverse, presales, and even airdrops. And YES, LEASH is the access token—the exclusivity token. No, it won’t be scheduled, but when opportunities arise, it will be LEASH in the Shib Ecosystem with a free pass.”
