  • Shiba Inu is jumping to new heights as Shibarium topped over 11 million wallet addresses.
  • The total transactions on the Layer-2 protocol are also seeing an uptrend, a show of massive embrace.

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem has continued to impress with new milestones being recorded across the board. In one of the most bullish updates, PuppyScan data shows that the total number of unique addresses on Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain, has topped a total of 11 million.

Though Shibarium has not been deployed on the mainnet yet, the embrace of the testnet has shown that the community is positively aligned with the dreams of the memecoin to join the league of infrastructure providers for the next iteration of the internet dubbed Web3.0. Specifically, the addresses are pegged at 11,113,441 with the total number of transactions carried out topping 3 million at the time of press.

Flagging the relevance of the Shibarium testnet will also entail highlighting all of the positive embraces the protocol has garnered thus far. For Shiba Inu, the recognition of its role to pivot away from just the pump and dump memecoin to that which has different utilities associated has particularly attracted whales into acquiring the token as a viable investment asset.

As it stands, the continuous influx of newly created wallet addresses on Shibarium jumped by about 170 percent in the past 4 days, depicting how sustainable the embrace has been thus far.

While Shibarium’s relevance is expanding, the native token of the Layer-2 outfit, BONE, has been tipped for listing one of Dubai’s sensational trading platforms Ceto Ex. The listing will further create an avenue to increase the liquidity of the token as well as the others within the broader Shiba Inu ecosystem.

The growing sentiment has relatively helped keep the price of SHIB steady and the memecoin is up by 4.27 percent at the time of writing to $0.000012.

Shiba Inu, Shibarium, and Shibaswap 2.0

The Shiba Inu protocol is charting its growth on Shibarium by encouraging, through incentivization, the influx of developers to build highly functional decentralized exchanges on the Shibarium protocol.

In his characteristic manner, the lead developer in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Shibetoshi Kusama has hinted at the potential release of Shibaswap 2.0 through a recent Telegram message. In the message as shared on Twitter, Kusama noted that the more advanced iteration of the decentralized exchange is coming and that community members should ignore it anytime others say otherwise.

Many people have used the hype around the core innovations surrounding Shiba Inu to perpetrate some forms of fraudulent trends across the board. In all, there is a strong alignment to the visions of Shiba Inu, and with the steady developmental efforts, most of these innovations are surfacing with impressive growth metrics to showcase them.
