  • Asia’s most impactful crypto industry event, the Korea Blockchain Week, has announced Sui as the official conference partner, with Aptos and Tron as official sponsors.
  • The event has also announced new headline speakers, including Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Binance’s Richard Teng and Dominic Williams, the founder of DFINITY and ICP.

The Korea Blockchain Week has named Sui, the massively scalable Layer 1 blockchain, the official conference partner and announced new headline speakers for the upcoming event.

Dubbed Asia’s most impactful blockchain conference, the Korea Blockchain Week kicks off on September 1st, bringing together blockchain founders, innovators, regulators and policymakers, investors and technology enthusiasts in Seoul. IMPACT, the event’s flagship two-day conference, will be held on 3-4 September at the Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts, Seoul, South Korea.

The event is now in its seventh year, and with each iteration, it gets bigger. Web3 ecosystem builder FACTBLOCK, which founded the conference, is out to make this year’s event the best one yet. In partnership with leading Asian Web3 venture capital fund Hashed, it has welcomed some of the biggest companies as sponsors.

Commenting on the partnership and Sui’s role at the event, Mysten Labs CEO Evan Cheng stated:

Korea is rising to the forefront of the industry’s wave of mass adoption, and with Sui’s established roots in the region, we are pleased to join KBW this year in continuing its tradition of excellence and fueling crypto’s next phase of growth across Asia.

Mysten Labs is the company behind the development of the Sui blockchain.

The Aptos Foundation and Tron will be the title sponsors, while Ripple, Orbs and Flare Network will be the gold sponsors. Other notable companies will join as Silver, Bronze and Copper sponsors.

The Korea Blockchain Week has also announced an expanded list of headline speakers, with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Binance CEO Richard Teng and The Sandbox co-founder Sebastien Borget joining the lineup. Dominic Williams, whose DFINITY Foundation is behind the Internet Computer, has also been added to the headline speakers list.

Other new headline speakers include Ondo Finance founder Nathan Allman, Yuga Labs CEO Greg Solano and Agora CEO Nick van Eck.

Seon-ik Jeon, the CEO of FACTBLOCK and the host of the event, commented:

Over the past seven years, KBW has grown to become the prime avenue for impactful dialogues that help shape the narratives and influence decisions in the global Web3 industry. The growing roster of our headline speakers is a testament to that.
