The TRON Foundation has entered into a new partnership with San Francisco-based peer-to-peer payment platform Metal Pay. The cooperation aims to make TRON (TRX) more accessible to the American market by integrating TRX into Metal Pay’s mobile application. This will enable 130,000 users to purchase the TRX token with a fiat currency via debit card or via a linked bank account.
In addition, Metal Pay also allows users to exchange TRX for one of over 20 different cryptocurrencies on the platform. As part of the cooperation, Metal Pay users will also be able to earn up to 5% cashback for sending and receiving USD. The reward function, called Pop, rewards users for sending specific USD transactions. These rewards will be delivered in Metal’s cryptocurrency MTL and can be converted into USD or sent to another Metal Pay user.
The core feature of Metal Pay is the simple way to send money to friends and family. The company refers to itself as the next generation Venmo or PayPal, which allows you to send money to friends and family instantly with just one phone number. The app’s intuitive and user-friendly layout is designed to make it easy for beginners to start sending and receiving money and is intended to serve as a soft introduction to the world of cryptocurrencies.
