  • The partnership aims to streamline blockchain data access, reducing costs and enhancing security for global users.
  • By deploying worker nodes, Deutsche Telekom MMS strengthens Web3 infrastructure, supporting diverse blockchain applications effectively.

Deutsche Telekom MMS has begun operating dedicated worker nodes within Subsquid’s decentralized data lake infrastructure, augmenting the network’s robustness alongside over 700 other corporate and individual nodes. These worker nodes play a critical role by swiftly responding to data requests from various users, including indexers, ensuring efficient access to blockchain data.

Subsquid distinguishes itself as a highly scalable decentralized platform tailored for Web3 applications, offering developers seamless access to blockchain data essential for their projects. Traditionally, accessing such data across multiple blockchain networks posed challenges due to differing formats and retrieval methods. Centralized APIs and RPC nodes often incurred high costs and delays, compromising data integrity and security.

In contrast, Subsquid’s decentralized data lake operates on a peer-to-peer model, facilitating direct and reliable access to raw blockchain data in formats preferred by users. Since its launch on June 3rd, Subsquid has gained momentum with the deployment of over 60,000 indexers during testnet and the establishment of more than 700 worker nodes. The network currently stores over 536 TB of data, underscoring its scalability and readiness to support diverse Web3 applications.

Dirk Röder, Head of the Web3 Infrastructure & Solutions Team at Deutsche Telekom MMS, emphasized the strategic significance of their involvement:

“Our deployment of Subsquid worker nodes enhances the network’s resilience and scalability, reinforcing its decentralized data lake technology. This partnership underscores our commitment to advancing Web3 infrastructure.”

Marcel Fohrmann, co-founder of Subsquid, highlighted the process:

“Having Deutsche Telekom MMS onboard to run Subsquid worker nodes is pivotal. It represents a significant step towards legitimizing and securing permissionless data access in the Web3 ecosystem.”

Deutsche Telekom MMS, known for supporting digital transformation and providing robust IT solutions, continues to expand its footprint in Web3 with initiatives like running validators for major blockchain protocols. This collaboration with Subsquid marks a further integration into the decentralized data landscape, positioning both entities at the forefront of blockchain technology innovation.
