One of Hollywood’s most iconic stars has teamed up with one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrency platforms to avail clean and safe water to those most in need. Crypto.com has teamed up with Matt Damon, donating $1 million and pledging to bring in its community of 10 million users to support the project.
Damon is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with his films earning close to $4 billion collectively, among the highest in the world. The recipient of one Oscar award and two Golden Globes, he has appeared in Good WIll Hunting, Saving Private Ryan, The Departed and his most famous performance as Jason Bourne in the Bourne Franchise.
Aside from acting, Damon is passionate about availing clean and safe water to millions across the globe. He is the co-founder of Water.org, one of the biggest organizations in the world catering to provision of clean water to the poor. Founded about three decades ago, the organization has provided clean water and sanitation to over 38 million people across Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia.

As per a press release shared with CNF, Crypto.com will donate $1 million to support Water.org’s initiatives as well as launch initiatives to encourage more than 10 million of its users globally to support the cause.
