Bridge Champ, a leading provider of online bridge play, has issued a new progress report. The year 2022 has been off to a good start for the team, and more improvements are on the horizon. Furthermore, the beta program is now open to everyone, and crypto integration has advanced pretty well.

Bridge Champ’s Team Is Working Hard

It is good to see an online-based approach to playing bridge. It is one of the most popular social games, although it can be difficult to find groups or clubs to play with. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated that aspect, resulting in a growing demand for online playing solutions. Bridge Champ is one of the providers focusing on this aspect, and the game has reached a fully functional state. 

A recent implementation of a “lite” mode under the “Mini Bridge” banner introduced a single-player version of Bridge Champ. It is an excellent way of bringing new players into the world of bridge and offers a minor learning curve. The Bridge Champ team is confident this can become the go-to online option for newcomers while giving experienced players an extra option to play in single-player if they are not looking to play against other people. 

Moreover, the team has put a strong focus on being able to preset game boards and replay existing games. They are more than complementary features and will be finalized by late June 2022. However, users can explore the Bridge Champ open beta today, as anyone is welcome to register and try the games.  

Bridge Champ’s team continues its web and mobile app development to bring the bridge world to even more people. IOS and Android versions are in the app stores but will receive further design updates for smaller screens and tablets. The web version currently has a few more features, but those will be embedded in their mobile counterparts over time. Furthermore, bots are usable in the game, although they are not on the same level as human players. More progress will be made on this front with the help of a bridge expert and mathematics professor. 

Crypto Integration is Coming

There is still much work to do for the Bridge Champ team, including tournament design and implementation. Much work has been done on this front already, although it is not usable in the game yet. The team is hopeful they will be able to complete full tournament integration in Q3-Q4 2022. 

Cryptocurrency integration is the primary development to look forward to. Bridge Champ leverages the Ardor/Ignis blockchain platform to integrate with leading service providers supporting fiat-to-crypto transactions. That integration will also play a vital role in the game’s play-to-earn solutions. Users will also benefit from native wallet support, Secret Sharing, and other features. 

Although the play-to-earn aspect is a substantial feature for Bridge Champ, the project primarily focuses on playing for fun. Leisurely casual players are the primary audience, and Bridge Champ wants to connect millions of players around the world. 

The game of bridge lacks full-fledged online solutions to facilitate global gameplay, either for fun or in a more competitive nature through tournaments. Bridge Champ will, with the help of blockchain and cryptocurrency, change that narrative for the better.
