We’re happy to announce that $VET is now fully available on Bitpanda, one of the largest fiat-to-crypto exchanges in Europe! Buy, sell and swap #VeChain tokens with a multitude of different payment methods and win 5000 EUR in VET!

VeChain verifies product authenticity

VeChain’s Vice President for Southeast Asia & Australasia, Sarah Nabaa, shared on her Twitter account a use case with VeChain Pro mobile application. Nabaa pointed out that the Australian custom sneaker designer, Chase Shiel, uploaded a video in which the company showed his customers how to verify the authenticity of a limited line of his products.

Through VeChain’s chip authentication technology and the referred application, users can easily buy one of the shoes and scan it. The application checks the product through the NFC chip on the VeChainThor blockchain. According to the publication shared by Shiel:

(The sneakers) have @vechainofficial technology hidden within the tongues. The VeChain authentication chip is an encrypted NFC chip containing a unique ID on the VeChainThor blockchain, with details behind the sneakers, images and footage!

As reported by CNF, the cooperation between VeChain and Chase Shiel was announced at the end of last year. The shoe designer used the NFC chips to store information securely and unalterably in VeChain’s blockchain. The first shoe to test VeChain’s technology was the Mars Yard OffWhite AJ1.
