  • Emerging DeFi protocols Anoma and Namada have unveiled multi-chain innovations to help build the evolution of the industry.
  • With products spanning Shielded Swaps to Intents on Ethereum, both chains are ready to spearhead the trends of the future.

Crypto infrastructure firm Anoma and its partner Namada have announced a series of upcoming developments at the EthCC event which was held in Paris. During the 3-day event, Anoma co-founders Adrian Brink and Christopher Goes explained their project’s multi-chain philosophies to the hearing of those in attendance.

Specifically, Brink talked about how his vision is to provide perspective to the Ethereum (ETH) network.

“It is crucial to understand that Anoma is an architecture, not a blockchain,” Brink explained, “This distinction allows existing applications to utilize Anoma’s properties to the extent they require. For example, rollups could employ Anoma’s counterparty discovery to decentralize their sequencer, or use Anoma to generate intents for Ethereum.”

Anoma believes that it is already at the centre of this vision, providing innovative solutions for applications including end-to-end decentralization, information flow control, and fully programmable intents. Notably, Anoma is the first intent-centric blockchain architecture. Brink spent much of his speaking time sharing details of Anoma’s first incentivized Request for Comments (RFC) program.

The RFC program is designed to stimulate the adoption of Anoma amongst developers and researchers in ETH and other broader communities. In other words, it focuses on encouraging these developers to review Anoma’s architectural specifications and revert with their feedback and any proposals they have for the improvement of the current design.

Anoma RFC Program Timeline

The program is billed to commence this fall with and the Anoma Foundation will start with the allocation of Anoma genesis distribution to contributors. In addition to the launch of the RFC program, Brink talked about a new method of swapping tokens while staying anonymous on the Cosmos exchange Osmosis. This feature is referred to as Shielded Swaps.

Shielded Swaps comes as an innovative way designed by Brink and his team to add an extra layer of value for Osmosis users. As detailed in the Press Release shared with Crypto-News Flash, the Shielded Swaps protocol will help users to conduct financial transactions in a Peer-2-Peer (P2P) manner on a protocol that naturally has no provision for privacy.

Namada adheres to the strict ethos of the Web3.0 ecosystem in that it rewards users for their participation in keeping the Namada protocol secure and private for all users. The protocol has designed a unique incentivization program dubbed ‘Shielded Set Rewards’. This helps in rewarding everyone contributing to the Namada protocol without limitations to a particular chain.

The Web3.0 and in particular, the DeFi ecosystem is evolving in a way that is driving competition in new ways. With Anoma and Namada launching unique service offerings that are capable of shaping the future of the industry, they are notably positioning to become a crucial part of the evolution of the ecosystem as a whole.

For their role in fulfilling this mission, they have landed backers across the board and giving opportunity to all users to be a part of their genesis.
