Airchains has officially announced its participation in the esteemed Chainlink BUILD program, signifying a significant move to accelerate the growth and adoption of application chains (appchains) and rollup technology within the broader ecosystem. By joining this initiative, Airchains gains exclusive access to Chainlink’s industry-leading oracle services and technical support, reinforcing the network’s overall security.

In return for these benefits, Airchains commits to providing network fees and other valuable offerings to the Chainlink community, including recognized service providers such as stakers.

The strategic collaboration with BUILD deepens Airchains’ integration with Chainlink and unlocks crucial advantages, including prioritized support from the Chainlink ecosystem. Moreover, this initiative facilitates expanded opportunities for dApps seeking to build their appchains or rollup solutions, fostering stronger alignment of incentives between the Chainlink and Airchains communities.

This partnership sets the stage for enhanced support, secure off-chain services and leverages the collective strength of Chainlink’s vibrant community. Why Airchains Joined Chainlink BUILD

In a recent official blog post, Airchains said their decision to join the BUILD program was motivated by the desire to harness Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure’s unparalleled security and reliability. By becoming an active participant in BUILD, Airchains gains access to a suite of valuable advantages. These encompass the integration of secure, dependable, and decentralized market and data feeds, critical in empowering Airchains’ cutting-edge block explorer. 

Additionally, these feeds serve as a foundational source of verifiable on-chain randomness, catering to gaming projects utilizing Airchains technology. An exclusive benefit of participation involves early access to forthcoming alpha and beta releases of new Chainlink products, among other strategic advantages.

As part of the reciprocity inherent in this collaboration, Airchains commits to allocating 3% of its native token supply to Chainlink service providers, which includes stakeholders, over an extended period. This mutual alignment of economic incentives engenders a symbiotic relationship, fostering support and cooperation between both communities.

Archain’s Collaborations

During the past few months, Airchains, along with its team of 35 members, revealed two significant undertakings: a collaboration with the Raigarh district administration to monitor industrial tree plantations and a partnership with West Bengal’s New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) to establish a system for recording and tracking land ownership and mutation.

Airchains, in conjunction with the blockchain protocol NEAR, has partnered with the NGO SankalpTaru to develop a surveillance mechanism. This system monitors tree plantations linked to corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by local industries within the industrial sector.

Additionally, in collaboration with NKDA, Airchains is poised to introduce a substantial quantity of 500,000 Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), symbolizing ownership of a vast expanse spanning 27,000 acres of land. This innovative solution operates within the framework of Polygon Supernets.

Additionally, the project is actively exploring the implementation of fractional property ownership, which could potentially yield a considerable number of new mutation opportunities, estimated to be one million.
