This speculation comes from the agency losing a case earlier this year against Grayscale where the court found the SEC’s denial of a Bitcoin spot ETF request by Grayscale to be without basis. With reports that the SEC would not appeal the ruling, it becomes more likely, although not assured, that a Bitcoin Spot ETF approval could happen sooner rather than later.
