The real-world assets (RWAs) sector is quickly becoming a major force in the crypto and blockchain space. On Tuesday, the RWA sector emerged as one of the top-performing sectors with social engagements across social media posts.
Chainlink, Avalanche, and VeChain Lead Social Engagements
According to the social analytics platform LunarCrush, Chainlink (LINK), Avalanche (AVAX), and VeChain (VET) were the top RWA coins with high social engagements. These RWA coins saw a jump in their social engagement activity as discussions and mentions soared on social media.
As revealed by LunarCush, Chainlink came first with 2.52 million engagements, outpacing Ondo Finance in this metric. Hedera came third with 1.39 million engagements, followed by Avalanche with 1.38 million. VeChain took the sixth spot with 930,720 engagements.
The high social engagement activity of LunarCrush indicates extremely heavy community participation in social posts—likes, comments, shares, bookmarks, participation from influential accounts, and more, measuring the metric.
A major factor contributing to Chainlink’s increase in social engagement activity is the appearance of key technical indicators that suggest a major price shift. As mentioned in our previous news brief, the 12-hour Chainlink chart reveals that the token is experiencing a squeeze in its Bollinger Bands. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez emphasized that LINK may prepare for a breakout or breakdown with an uncertain direction.
Regarding Avalanche, social engagements have increased ahead of an upcoming token unlock. Analysts claim the upcoming token unlock events will negatively affect the price trajectory of AVAX due to increased market supply. This pessimistic sentiment has raised discussions about AVAX’s future.
